Recently, we had the pleasure of designing a styled wedding shoot that captured the spirit of Charm City, blending sophisticated details with the lively energy of Baltimore’s beloved waterfront district.
With floor-to-ceiling windows in the breathtaking Skyview Ballroom and panoramic views of the harbor below, the hotel provides a light-filled, romantic canvas for couples who want to celebrate in true city-chic style.
Here’s a glimpse into the design we created, and why the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront continues to be one of our favorite venues for couples ready to say “I Do” in the heart of Baltimore.
Designing the Styled Shoot: A Celebration of Vibrancy and Romance
Inspired by the vibrant spirit of Charm City, we set out to create a wedding design that felt modern yet full of warmth, a true reflection of the energy and elegance Baltimore is known for.
Layers of texture and color were woven throughout the design, from the thoughtful mix of linen selections, to the vibrant floral designs that filled the space with life and warmth.
The ceremony backdrop featured a lush floral arch bursting with shades of yellow, tangerine, coral, and soft ivory blooms, a stunning focal point framed by the hotel’s sweeping harbor and skyline views.
For cocktail hour, we selected burnt orange and ivory linens, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The setup then flowed into the reception within the Skyview Ballroom, where tables were dressed in a combination of ivory and dijon-toned linens, each accented by bold burnt orange napkins for a pop of modern sophistication.
Floral arrangements ranged from playful clusters of blooms in modern bud vases to dramatic, towering centerpieces, each one designed to enhance the natural vibrancy of the room without overpowering the incredible harbor backdrop. Delicate touches like dried citrus accents on each place setting and soft candlelight added richness and texture to the overall look, creating an atmosphere that felt both fresh and elevated.
